BRITISH COLUMBIA PNP SIRS Points Calculator 2020

British Columbia, Canada’s westernmost province, is defined by its Pacific coastline and mountain ranges. It is known for its nature areas like Glacier National Park which offer hiking and biking trails, as well as campgrounds. That is why it is an immigration site and is a location of attraction all over the world. Millions of professionals apply for permanent residence each year, but only a few are selected. In January 2016, a new scoring system was introduced by British Columbia authorities to further facilitate the immigration and permanent residence process. The Skilled Immigration Registration System (SIRS) allows a threefold entry pathway for skilled individuals in Canada and has certain norms unique to British Columbia.

HOW DO I CALCULATE MY SIRS SCORE?

The SIRS point system is a simple system which takes into account several factors to make an immigration candidates’ eligibility assessment. These factors are:

  • Skill level of the BC Job offer
  • Wage of the BC job offer
  • Regional district of employment
  • Directly related work experience
  • Highest level of education
  • Language

Firstly, you need to have a full-time employment offer from a British Columbia employer who will assist you through the entire evaluation process. However, if you own a degree from a British Columbia, University then needing an employment offer is not necessary. After this step, when you will set forth your request you will be given a certain score based on the above mentioned facts. Your score and your profile both will be uploaded into the Express Entry pool.  British Columbia only invites the highest ranking candidates so it is important to optimize your profile obtain an advantage over other candidates.
